When I was cutting hair full time I wore a 46, nearly a 48 jacket. I was a high cutter. I cut with the chair high so as to work more at eye level... just the way I was taught. Not cutting as much hair over the past few years, I now wear a 42 jacket. Those inches add up (moved to my waist). The extra bulk in my shoulders was for holding up tools for extended periods of time. I am going to need that strength and top core bulk. I am focusing on this area now and through the record event. I have been working on my legs all along (at the Westin). I figure I need to get my shoulders back to at leas a 44+ in size to have the strength I will need.

T-Shirts for heads
50 days to go
Andis has designed a great T shirt for the event.
Everyone who gets a cut as a part of the event will take home their very own, limited edition Go, Cliipeguy Go! T-shirt. Get on down. Get in line. Get cut and get your T-shirt.

Help calling
51 days to go.
I got a call from a long time, good friend in the biz today. She wants to come down to TX and be a part of the event. Way cool. She lived in Austin for a time and loves the area. She loves me and wants to be there. "How can I miss it"? She asked. I said, "You can't". I will put her in on the job grid and will be excited to have her there to support me and share in the event. TY Sue!
I am off on vacation for a bit. I will use the time to relax, yet intensify my working out. I am feeling I will need some extra strength in my shoulders for the long haul.

Tools, tools and more Tools
I am working my way through the choices available to me for tools to use for the world record. It is looking like a brand spanking new tool that I was shooting to use for a portion of my cutting for the event will not be ready in time. No worries. With so many great Andis choices I will have no problem picking tools that will be more than up to the task. Right now I am leaning towards the Ceramic Advanced as my detachable choice… I love (and need) the blade speed of that unit, 4,000 spm, fastest detachable in the business. The new blade design for the Andis family of pivot motor trimmers makes them the hands-down choice for the trimming tasks. This new blade cuts super sharp and crisp lines. It also has a new tooth pattern on the lower blade. This allows for super fast and smooth feeding. It is almost as if they built this one with me in mind. I gave a sample to Kenny Duncan to try. He is optimistic. He says that if it is all I say it is, it is his new fave too.
