86. Square-Up – Hold your clipper comb very vertical to square-up the sides of a flattop.

it is all about the corner. leave that corner in... Not just for flat tops... but much good men's cutting likes to have that squareness that leaving in the corner provides.

85. Stay Away From Spray – Avoid using hairspray when cutting flattops. Hairspray causes the hair to stick together and binds the comb. The comb will be hard to control.

Better to use flat top or clipper cut wax. I have a new one in my Zoot Hair line. have a look here.
