Week 38

Open on Sunday – Sunday used to be the day of rest. Now it is the day of catch-up. Many harried consumers use Sunday to do all the things that did not get done during the week. Sunday hours can be shorter than the rest of the week. You should open a bit later and close earlier. Many shops report that Sunday is one of the most profitable days of the week in revenue per hour. You can cram a full day of revenue into a half day of work if you maximize the flow through the chairs. In many cases, opening on Sunday and closing on a weekday is well worth the trade off. The bonus is that you can then be off during the week when the rest of the world is working. This makes doing the things you need to do easier when crowds are lighter and lines are shorter. It is a double win for you and your team.
